Mema is here and we've been busy cooking and baking, eating, playing cards, drinking coffee, knitting, chatting, walking around Bisbee, laughing, etc.

Mema has decided Canasta is sucky (for the most part, she keeps losing, so no wonder she feels this way). She likes Skip-Bo and 15 though.

Last night we watched a documentary we got from the library, Tying the Knot, about people trying to get gay marriage laws passed in different states, as well as their opposition. There was a direct parallel between the fight for legal gay marriage rights and the fight for mixed-race marriages being passed into law in the 60s (obviously, it was finally put into law that men and women of different skin colors can marry . . . still waiting on same sex rights for marriage).
