...because we (I) love food! (All of this is made from scratch--yay!)
Monday we had creamy potato soup with whole wheat bread.
Tuesday we had baked cheese and almond stuffed zucchini, pan-fried marinated tofu, a side of mushrooms and artichoke in lemon marinade, and a vegetable salad.
Dessert for those nights: cranberry tea cake and almond cookies!
Thursday Mema and I made: hummus, white bean dip, cucumbers in yogurt, tahini-lemon sauce, artichoke hearts in lemon juice, olives--no, not from scratch :-), beurek with parsley cheese (a middle eastern calazone-like pastry stuffed with lots of cheeses), falafel, pita bread (yes, actually made from scratch! incredible!), paklava, and halvah shortbread.
