We went camping over the weekend. We tried to go to the Hot Well Dunes, but the road was flooded due to monsoons. So we went to the Black Hills instead and hunted for fire agate. The prickly pears and barrel cactus were all in bloom. We also found tarantulas, millipedes that looked like giant earthworms with legs, white cows, and on our hike down the hill I saw a bunny rabbit (big white fluffy tail even) scatter away.

The second night we tried to camp in Rucker Canyon, which is kind of near Chiricahua National Monument. We made it an hour into the canyon, two miles away from where we were going to camp, but again we couldn't go any further due to more flooding. It was very lovely out, smelled delicious, and we walked across the stream blocking the road, but the car couldn't make it (although we saw a jeep drive across it with no problem), so we ended up turning around and driving home. (On the way home we saw a double rainbow.)
