I'm so happy the mama is getting to visit for a whole week.

We've been taking her on hikes; hunting for century-old trash treasures, broken ceramic with designs and glass pieces; playing Philadelphia rummy and the other traditionals from our game stash; and last night we went out to Hot Licks, listened to soul music, and danced!

A couple of days ago, the three of us went to the cave in Coronado national monument. Remember? The one I took E to and then spooked myself and could only go in so far. This cave has a hole that you climb through, slip your legs and butt along the descent of boulders until you get to the floor below. Once you're in, the cave extends to about the size of a football field with stalagmites and weird rock formations belching out of the ceiling, the walls, and the ground. This cave is big and dark. It's lots of fun when you take Snark along to keep you from thinking about ghosts and creepy movies.
