*veggie dog is going ballistic right now because a man tried to gather some dirt from the canal in front of our house. that was 40 minutes ago... then, of course, another man stopped by and dropped off a vacuum cleaner for us to use (he's friends with the owner of our house). that just made her more determined to bark as loud as possible, frequent growls included. a tall man and a vacuum in our yard?! can you believe it?! it could only be worse if you added a bicycle and an awning to the mix. anyway, it looks like this is going to have to be calmed down with a spray bottle threat. . .

*snark and i watched a cool documentary last night that we got from the library. it's about a man who designs and builds self-sustaining houses (including power, water, sewage, and food) out of discarded tires, aluminum cans, and plastic and glass bottles. it's called garbage warrior; it's pretty inspiring, though i would have liked more detail on how the houses are constructed (was it cement they used in between the bottles or something else?) and also specifics on how the sewer system works, which apparently runs beneath the living room. if you decide to watch this, make sure to check out the special features, which also include more great information.

*i have more thoughts in this head of mine (stuff about the conversation snark and i were having about America's biggest social downfall or something on that line), but i've lost the energy for articulating any of it, so never mind. that's it for now.
*and, oh yes! happy birthday to courtney who's 29 today (29 on the 29th)!
