Our house is in chaos again--the contents of our bedroom, including bed frame and mattress, are sprawled all over the two living rooms. (It's the second to last room to be painted.) The kitchen is put back together for the most part, and it is now painted a cheery peach and white. Our housewarming is Wednesday, so at least we have a deadline for putting the contents of our life back in working order.

In other news, our dearest and most personified of kitchen appliances, Pete the percolator, has died. Or perhaps Pete is just in a coma. At any rate, he is not working, and we are sad to not hear the comforting sound of his congested coffee-brewing in the mornings.
