Sanity has been restored in my little home, thanks to the Snark who has blocked up many of the open spaces where the creepies would travel. It's nice to sleep again. With the lights off.
I've been busy; work is starting to pick up now that the weather is getting colder and the holidays are coming up.
We've also been pretty social lately. Saturday we met some friends downtown for Bisbee's version of Art Walk (most of the galleries and stores stay open late). Hot Licks unexpectedly closed, and we went down to listen to music and dance their last night being open. Sunday we had a fire in the backyard and various neighbors came over for Wisconsin cheese tasting, beer, and mulled wine. Monday we had a quiche-and-cards night with Andy.
Tonight is the first get together of our stitch-n-bitch group, an evening of knitting, crocheting, sewing and wine-drinking. I'm finally being introduced to some 30-something women in this town.
This weekend we plan to go camping near Silver City. One more tent adventure before it gets too cold. It's probably already too cold, but we're going to attempt it anyway.
Last night, lying in bed, I could see the moon from my bedroom window. With my glasses off, it looked like a street light. It was really bright.
This morning we woke to the copper light leaking across the canyon hills. It's Snark's favorite part of the morning. It only lasts for a few minutes before the sun peaks and the light becomes normal.
