It's good to be back in Bisbee--to be home; back to the dry heat, to animals who are lovey and funny-acting (currently Diamond is examining the computer cord--he seems to think it's alive), and to be back in daily proximity with Snark (who, I should mention, has very sweetly been making all the meals...yesterday morning he made a fantastic smoothie for our breakfast and last night he made a veggie wrap with sprouts even after spending all afternoon painting the porch).

And I just wanted to say that I also had a very lovely time in CA with my family (despite the sunshine not appearing until noon everyday--that's the way it is living by the bay and I usually complain a lot about it when I'm there, so I'm lucky they put up with me in the mornings when the fog makes the sky overcast). I was feeling grateful and full of love for my family as I flew back to AZ, and glad for the time I got with all of them. My brother and Treda spent three nights at my parents' house, so we got to play some new board games (The aMAZEing Labyrinth and Celtica) together and laugh when my dad was being silly moving his game piece. Patma and I enjoyed listening to our new folk festival cds over and over again--though I admit, Treda was a little dismayed by this when she was visiting because our choices were not very compatible with her own musical preferences, so we tried to lay off a little more during that time. (And, unbelievably, Patma and I didn't play scrabble even once, but we did play 15 with my dad my last night there; unfortunately, we were just to busy and the scrabble board never came out. )
