Yesterday I potted our baby plants into temporary containers (basil, cilantro, dill, onion; millet and grass for Vdog) and planted the baby spinach and lettuce plants outside in the garden boxes (the ones with the cold frames). Plus, I accomplished my mending. Two productive things in one day! Who would have thought it was possible?! Actually, I did other productive things as well, but these were the two that seemed most significant because they don't happen on a regular basis.

Snark and I both woke up thinking about Mema yesterday, our minds hazy about where she was in our pre-awake states. Is she in our kitchen playing cards and drinking coffee? In the guestroom knitting? Oh, wait we dropped her off at the airport on Monday and now she's in Texas. Waah. A voicemail from her said she left one of her suitcases at the Dallas airport Monday night and would have to go back for it the next day. Double waah.

The plan for this evening is to switch bedrooms: art playing stuff will move to the front bedroom where we've been sleeping since we moved in last February and our sleep area will move to the smaller bedroom in back, which has been the combination guest room/ art room/ storage room. There is definitely not enough art going on in this household and we need to shake up the energy in the rooms to encourage more participation in cutting, gluing, painting, and word tickets.
