check out this quick, but interesting archaeology article about an ancient pre-human skeleton that was found in a cave (along with other skeletons) and who we've nicknamed "The Hobbit." snark was telling me about this last night before we fell asleep and--lucky me--the article was still open on his computer when i woke this morning. there are other interesting links about the same subject at the bottom of the article, such as this one about the little lady of flores and this one too that questions if the hobbit is a new species or merely the skeleton of a deformed homo sapien.
